‘Bigfoot and the Social Regime’
Written & Directed by Claire Luther
Role: Kyle
Bigfoot has been enslaved by the expectations of the modern world. He’s stuck in a 9 to 5 with all its constraints: the overbearing boss, uptight coworkers and the urge to quit. Coming home to a dirty, cramped apartment, he finds little refuge in the philosophical musings of his stoner roommate. At an office birthday party, Bigfoot comes face to face with what it means to be human, in all its miserable, blessed glory. Bigfoot and The Social Regime is a drama satire for the lost, the aimless, and the dreamers.

Four friends are gathered together at one of their homes, but before they can leave, a news report informs them of a deadly virus, the ‘That’s Funny Virus’. When infected, the ability to laugh is wiped from their brain, and instead they say ‘That’s Funny’. Two months later they are on the verge of insanity. A game of charades is their last resort to solve their ultimate boredom. During the game, one of them goes missing for a while. The others attempt to make them laugh, after realising they might be infected. One by one, they contract the virus and each of their fates are met.
